A few years ago, our family sat down and had a hard conversation.

Our kids were old enough to have their own devices, and like most parents, we'd set up the basics — Screen Time limits, safe browsing, the usual. We thought we were covered. Then we started having real conversations about what they were actually seeing. Not because something catastrophic happened, but because we wanted to be the ones who opened the door before someone else did.

What we found wasn't shocking by the world's standards. But it was a reminder of how fast the landscape shifts, and how much our kids needed more than passive protection. They needed to understand why we were guiding them — not just experience the walls.

The conversation we didn't expect to have

We didn't set out to start a ministry. We set out to protect our home. But the more we learned, the more we realized how many families were in the same position we'd been in: aware of the dangers in a general sense, but unsure what to actually do.

I'm an engineer by trade, so I started digging into the tools — DNS filtering, accountability software, router-level controls. I was surprised by how effective and affordable most of them were. I was also surprised by how few families knew they existed.

So we started sharing. A conversation here, a recommendation there. Eventually, I put together a short guide to hand out at church. That guide became this site.

What this is — and what it isn't

This ministry isn't a political platform or a condemnation of technology. We love technology. I build things on the internet for a living. This is about being intentional — creating a home culture where devices serve your family, not the other way around.

We also don't assume the worst about your family or your kids. These resources are for families at every stage: the ones who are just starting to think about this, the ones who've already had a hard experience and are trying to recover, and everyone in between.

If you're not sure where to start, read the guide. If you want hands-on help setting up filtering for your home, reach out. We'll walk you through it, at no cost.

You're not alone in this. And your family is worth protecting.
